I have been experimenting with the silver gene for 19 years now, originating from  Chinchilla Persians carrying golden (the Golden Persian was a Champion).  This has given me many surprises including Golden Tabby Pointed Birmans which I did not recognise at the time, but have been contacted by many Silver and Golden Birman breeders in other countries where the breed colour is recognised.  Apparently, the Golden Tabby Point is very elusive but I have produced many and unfortunately sold them as pets not recognising their true value.

At the same time I introduced the smoke gene from a black smoke Persian male and produce many smoke pointed Birmans.  Very beautiful, but again I did not recognise these until I was informed by  foreign breeders.

I have many different lines from the same colour ranges so my kittens are not compromised by line breeding in fact the little devils are very athletic and mischievous not to mention intelligent to the extreme, and most grow to a massive size.

Their fur is usually a little longer and silkier than the usual Birman and requires a minimal amount of grooming as they grow, but not as kittens.  The body fur is also silver rather than beige or arctic blue depending on the colour.  Seeing is believing. The silver tabby points are a sight to behold. See kitten page

Also Exotics and British shorthair in the silver series colour point.
